Payment Policy — Belfolio

This Payment Policy explains how payments are handled on the Belfolio website, including accepted methods, billing, security, refunds, and chargebacks.


1) Accepted payment methods

At checkout, Belfolio offers at least one conventional payment option (such as credit/debit card) and may also offer additional methods depending on availability.

Available methods may include (as displayed at checkout):

  • Visa / Mastercard (credit & debit)

  • Apple Pay / Google Pay

  • American Express

2) Currency and pricing

  • All prices are shown in AUD unless stated otherwise.

  • Any shipping charges (if applicable) are shown before you complete payment.

  • If GST applies to your products/pricing model, it will be shown at checkout or included in the displayed price based on your store setup.


3) Payment processing and security

Payments are processed through trusted third-party payment providers. Belfolio does not typically store full card numbers on our servers. Payment providers may collect and process your payment details in accordance with their own terms and privacy practices.

We use secure checkout technology (e.g., encrypted connections/HTTPS) to help protect your information during transmission.


4) When your card is charged

In most cases, your payment method is charged at the time you place your order (or shortly after, once the payment is authorised by your bank/provider). If we cannot confirm payment, your order may not be accepted or may be cancelled.


5) Declined or failed payments

A payment can fail for reasons outside our control (e.g., bank restrictions, insufficient funds, incorrect billing details, fraud protection rules). If your payment is declined:

  • please try again with updated details, or

  • use an alternative payment method, or

  • contact your bank/payment provider for assistance.


6) Fraud checks and order verification

To protect customers and prevent fraud, Belfolio (and/or our payment partners) may perform verification checks. In some cases we may:

  • request additional information to confirm the order, or

  • cancel and refund an order if we reasonably suspect unauthorised or fraudulent activity.


7) Card surcharges

Belfolio currently does not add an extra card payment surcharge unless clearly stated at checkout.

If a surcharge is introduced for a specific payment method, it will be disclosed before you pay and will not exceed the business’s cost of acceptance for that payment type, in line with guidance enforced by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission and standards set by the Reserve Bank of Australia.


8) Receipts and order confirmation

After successful payment, you will receive an order confirmation by email. This confirmation generally includes:

  • your order number

  • items purchased

  • billing and delivery summary

  • payment confirmation (not full card details)

If you don’t receive it, check spam/junk or contact us.

9) Refunds

Refunds are handled according to our Refunds Policy and Australian Consumer Law, where applicable.

Refund method

Refunds are typically issued to the original payment method, unless we agree otherwise with you.

Refund timing

Once a return is approved (or another refund is confirmed), Belfolio processes refunds within the timeframe stated in our Refunds Policy. Your bank/payment provider may take additional time to display funds.

10) Chargebacks and payment disputes

If you believe there is an issue with your payment or order, please contact Belfolio first so we can help resolve it quickly.

Unauthorised chargebacks may result in:

  • delays in resolution while the dispute is reviewed, and/or

  • restriction of future orders where misuse is identified.

Nothing in this section limits your rights under applicable law.
